What is Reiki?

 

Reiki comes from Japan and was developed in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui, who wanted a simple way to promote healing and well-being.

 

The word “Reiki” comes from the Japanese words “Rei”, meaning universal, and “Ki”, meaning life energy — so it’s often thought of as “universal life energy”, in practice, it involves gentle hands-on or hands-above techniques that help people relax, unwind, and feel more balanced.

What to expect in a session

An intuitive reiki session is quiet and restful. You’ll be fully clothed and invited to lie down or sit comfortably. There’s nothing you need to do—just allow yourself to rest.

 

During the session, you may notice sensations such as warmth, gentle movement, deep relaxation, or emotional release. Others simply feel calm and at ease. Every experience is different, and all responses are normal. Many people leave a session feeling more grounded, clear, and supported.

 

Sessions are guided by both Reiki and intuition, allowing me to tune into subtle impressions that may offer additional clarity or insight during the healing
